Ongoing development of IXP Manager is focused on delivering the functionality to meet the evolving requirements of IXPs around the world who use the platform to meet their members' peering needs. This ongoing development is financially supported by a number of IXPs who use the platform and also the benevolence of industry patrons who have committed to enhancing the functionality, security and scalability of the worlds' most trusted IXP management platform.

Patrons
There are typically two types of IXP Manager patrons - first are organisations that work for the good of the internet such as ISOC, a long time supporter of IXP Manager, the RIRs (regional internet registries such as APNIC) or more local organisations working with IXPs such as CIRA in Canada.
The second type are networks that peer at a large number of IXPs around the world and recognise the value IXP Manager brings to some of these exchanges. As of early 2020, there are at least 50 networks which peer at 20 or more IXPs and these companies would make ideal patrons of the project demonstrating end user support.
Sponsors
Sponsors are IXPs that use IXP Manager and benefit from it. As part of a renewed funding drive in 2020, the project is now asking IXPs, with the financial capacity, to commit to contributing an annual amount appropriate to their budget.
The ongoing development and success of the IXP Manager project is best realised when those that use it, and benefit the most from it, support the project in this way.
Sponsorship Tiers
We have created five sponsorship tiers to differentiate the level of support given and to provide appropriate recognition for each patron and sponsor.

| Gold | >= €10,000 | Includes the third largest icons on the sponsorship pages, randomised gray-tone icon on homepage (patrons), sponsorship indicator on the list of IXPs using the platform (sponsors), link to your website of choice and largest icons on credits page of presentations. |
