Upgrading Legacy Versions of IXP Manager

Legacy installations of IXP Manager can be very difficult to upgrade as you can find yourself in a dependency nightmare whereby the old version of IXP Manager will not run on modern versions of PHP; and vice versa.
IXP Manager Now Powering Peering at 130 IXPs Globally

130 IXPs globally are now Powering Peering with IXP Manager, making it the largest and most used peering platform in the world. These IXPs incorporate 7,561 individual switch ports peering over the IXP Manager platform around the world, delivering a total connected capacity exceeding 73 Terabits/sec. There are 3,720 unique networks connected to the 130 IXPs with an aggregate peak traffic in excess of 15 Tbit/s.

There are nearly one hundred internet exchange points (IXPs) around the world who are Powering Peering using IXP Manager. In recognition of this upcoming milestone, we have just launched our new website which provides a better insight to the world’s favourite IXP platform.
New release - v5.6.0

This release primarily adds a new Per-Member Document Store feature to IXP Manager and fixes a security issue. It also has a few bug fixes and improvements. All IXP's running < v5.6.0 are advised to upgrade.

The IXP Manager project has just launched a new YouTube channel where the team will provide some hands-on tutorials for installing and using IXP Manager.
New release - v5.5.0

This release introduces a port utilisation reporting function into IXP Manager's frontend UI. This feature was rapidly developed at INEX and it was released immediately in the hope it may help other IXPs plan for increased traffic during the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic.
1Tbps traffic record for IXP Manager

Congratulations to NAPAfrica IXP and the team there for hitting 1Tbps of traffic for the first time today. This marks the first IXP Manager instance across the world to cross this threshold. The IXP Manager team are all very proud.
